Glasses are of many types. There are glasses for serving only champagne, brandy, water and beer.
Here are the different types of glasses..
Champagne Tulip
The champagne tulip is used only for serving champagne. It is a glass with long stem.
Champagne Flute
This slim, long-stemmed glass is also used for serving champagne only.
Champagne Coupe/Saucer
This type of glass has a stem with wide brim. This type of glass is used for serving champagne, Gin, Vodka, Gimlet, Brandy Alexander. Daiquiris, Pink Lady, Crimson Kiss and Million Dollar.
Red Wine Glass
This is also called Burgundy Glass. This type of glass I used for serving red wines in general, particularly Burgundy.
White Wine Glass
This type of glass is tall with a long stem. This is used for serving white wines in general.
Sherry Wine Glass
Sherry wine glass is a short-stemmed glass that is used for serving port or sherry.
Martini Glass
This type of glass is long stemmed with a triangle like body. This is used for serving Martini, Manhattan, Rob Roy, Grasshopper, Pink Gin, Kir, Gin Sling, Rusty Nail, Gibson, Side Car, Negroni, and Princess Pride.
Brandy Glass
This is a very short-stemmed glass used for serving Brandy, Cognac/Armagnac, Fine Champagne like Hennessy XO and Remy Martin XO.
Water Goblet
Water goblet is used for serving ice water. This type of glass is deep and long-stemmed.
Poco Grande or Hurricane
This is short-stemmed and shaped like a bell. This type of glass is used for special house receptions or other fancy drinks like Poco Grande, Squall Tulip, Champagne and Tall Gourmet.
Irish coffee Glass
This type of glass looks like a mug. This is used for serving Irish Coffee or Ruedeshaimer Coffee.
Beer Mug
This is a mug used for serving export beer.
Beer Pilsner
This is a tall glass without stem used for serving Pilsner beer.
Hiball Glass
This is a tall glass without stem used for serving juices, softdrinks , spirits mixed with water, tonic, soda, ginger ale,screwdriver, Cuba Libre, and Harveys Wall Banger.
Rock Glass
This is also called Old Fashioned Glass. It has no stem. This is used for on the rock or straight up drinks.
Collin Glass
This type of glass is tall and has no stem. This type of glass is used fro serving long cool drinks, fizzes and fresh fruit juices like fruit punch, tom Collins, weng-weng, Singapore Sling Piñacolada and tequila sunrise.
Shooter Glass
This is a glass used for serving straight up drinks.
